Care and Safety
1. General Care Guidelines
Our products are made from solid wood and finished by hand using natural oils, waxes, and finishes that are safe for families and the environment.
To keep your item looking its best:

Wipe with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth — avoid soaking or using harsh cleaners.

Keep away from prolonged moisture, direct heat, or sunlight.

Avoid submerging any wooden item in water.

Allow finishes and oils to fully absorb before use or storage.

If the surface appears dull or dry, it’s time to refresh the finish (see below for specific instructions).
2. Product-Specific Care
Game Boards

Finished with Tried & True Hardwax Oil — a natural, food-safe blend of linseed oil and beeswax.

To maintain luster, reapply a light coat of hardwax whenever the surface appears dull, or about every 6–12 months.

Apply a thin layer with a soft cloth, let it soak in for 30–60 minutes, then buff dry with a clean cloth.

Stars & Stripes Collection

Finished with coconut oil, a natural and safe conditioner for wood.

Reapply coconut oil as needed — typically once or twice a year, or whenever the surface looks dry.

Rub in a small amount, allow it to absorb for several hours, and gently buff to restore shine.
Wooden Swords

Treated with Howard’s Feed-N-Wax, a blend of beeswax, carnauba wax, and orange oil.

You may reapply Howard’s or any natural wood wax as needed to preserve the sheen and protect the wood.

Simply wipe on a thin layer, let it penetrate for about 20 minutes, then wipe away excess and buff dry.
3. Refurbishing Service
If your heirloom ever becomes worn or damaged, we’re happy to help restore it.
We can arrange refurbishing, refinishing, or repairs for an agreed-upon service charge, plus return shipping.

We’ll provide a cost estimate and return instructions.

Once received, we’ll lovingly restore your piece and ship it back ready to enjoy again.
4. Safety Information
Our products are crafted with care and intended for gentle, supervised use.

Adult supervision is required whenever children play with or handle our products.

Some pieces (like marbles, pegs, or game pieces) may contain small parts and could pose a choking hazard to children under 3 years old.

Regularly inspect all items for signs of wear, cracks, or loose parts. Discontinue use if damage occurs.

Products labeled “decorative use only” are not intended as toys.

5. Storage Tips

Store wooden items in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

Avoid extreme humidity or temperature fluctuations.

For long-term storage, wrap in a cotton cloth or paper (not plastic) to allow airflow and prevent moisture buildup.
